Turn based dungeon crawling with ring-based combat -- interrupted by hot visual novel action 🔥
This is the 7drl jam-version of our game "AND THESE IRON LIMBS EXILED FROM HEAVEN" (we will update this page, when our limbs have regenerated.) It is based on a codebase from a turn-based stealth game by krisekrise and Jonas Eschner. Unfortunately, we did not find time to balance the game mechanics, but it is still an interesting gameplay idea and we already improved on it in the postjam version. So check that out, if you are not here for the original 7drl experience!
Controls
- Use WASD to move
- Use Q and E to rotate the ring fields
- Drag and drop rings to equip them
- Hover over rings to preview their abilities
- F11 for fullscreen
Tutorial
Each turn a finger on your hand will activate. Equip rings to create attack patterns for that finger. Rings can have different patterns, strengths and element types and the effects of each ring on a finger are combined together to create your attack for that turn. You can see which tiles your attack will effect next turn by the square tile borders displayed.
Reach the BOYFRIEND HEAVEN teleport (it glows pink) in each level and ascend.
The element types are: COLD, HOT, SOFT and SPIKY

Gameplay video of your game.
A phenomenal game for 7 days. I'm very impressed. Weird, cryptic at first, but also fascinating and addictive. My only major criticism is that it crashed to desktop at the level transition around level 9 or 10.
thank you so much for checking it out! ohno though, did you play the jam or postjam version? in the end it got quite hectic putting everything together for the deadline, so i think there are some bugs. I thought krisekrise fixed some level loading crash for the postjam version though.. we’ll take a look!
I played the newest version. Don't worry about it too much, this game is an impressive achievement for just 7 days, it's hardly surprising if there are bugs here and there.
After some more experimentation, the crash to desktop seems to always happen in the Boyfriend Heaven at the end of level 9. Sometimes it's when going through the gate to level 10, other times it's when speaking to one of the boyfriends.
Hey, thanks for your investigation! :) We will have a look into these weird occurances!
